Default Downloaded Xcode, but doesn't contain...

I downloaded the free Xcode from the Apple web site. My plan was to learn how to create apps before actually buy a license. I did so, and after watching and reading a few tutorials, I realized I was missing something. When you create a new project, a window pops up, asking you what type of program you want to use. I only have access to the Mac OS X, but not the other category of iPhone OS, containing essentials like Visual-Ware or whatever it's called.

Is the iPhone version only in the paid version? I'm pretty sure I downloaded the right one. This is the link of where I got the download: Download Xcode - Apple Developer Connection and pressed the download corresponding to the big SDK bubble. I clicked a few things then downloaded "iPhone Sdk 3.1.2 and Xcode 3.1.4"

What did I do wrong?!?!?!?!!
