Hey, I'm VERY new to xcode so please forgive me if i sound a bit dim. I am trying to create an app which the user can drag an image file onto the window and the application displays it filling the window. If anyone knows of any tutorials or help i'd appreciate it.

The straightforward answer is to go to Messenger > Preferences > Display Image, and then check Enable Display Images. Then press the Change Default... button under "My Display Image". When the next window comes up (titled "My Display Image"), click the Share My Picture option (or if you prefer Share My Avatar). Finally, make sure you have a valid picture displaying. If not, click the Select... button to choose which picture you want to show when you have a conversation.
